Dataverse (or formerly Common Data Service) is a scalable data service and application platform that enables us to securely store and manage data from multiple sources and integrate that data into business applications using a common data model to ensure convenience and consistency to our users.

Dataverse includes a core set of standard tables that cover typical scenarios, but you can also create custom tables specific to your organization and populate them with data using Power Query. App builders can then use Power Apps to build rich apps that use this data.
